Meet the dedicated staff of

Rev. Thomas Sievel, Pastor

Joined the OLMC family in 2017.

Ordained in 1978, Father Sievel served Parishes in Wethersfield, Ansonia, West Haven, East Haven, and Manchester.  In each, he was involved with Catholic elementary education.  The faith-based education OLMC provides is an enormous gift to students, families, staff and the wider Parish of Our Lady, Queen of Angels.

The following of Christ, the life of prayer, and our response in faith are deeply evident in our school.

Dr. Michael J. Frechette, Principal

Joined the OLMC family in 2019

I am extremely fortunate, excited, and humbled to be selected as your new Principal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. The warmth and welcoming atmosphere of the school community and the accepting and hospitable greeting from the faculty, staff, and community has been tremendous. I have experience teaching at the University level, PK-12 public school teaching, and Central Office Administration. First and foremost, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my wife and daughter. Supporting and providing guidance in my daughter’s career aspirations and attending university events rounds out our family time. I am an avid runner (now walking), I enjoy leisure reading, and I relish traveling when possible. Cooking has been a lifelong passion of mine and I take pleasure in cooking for family and friends. Finally, after having grown up near the ocean and having spent as much time as possible there, it remains an ardent and fundamental component of my life.

Mrs. Alicia Sita, Administrative Assistant

Joined the OLMC family in 2004.

Mrs. Sita has lived in Meriden her entire life.  She and her husband have raised four awesome children and are now the proud grandparents of two wonderful grandchildren.  Her children and husband are also alumni of OLMC. Mrs. Sita is a graduate of MXCC with a degree in Business Administration.  She has been an active member of OLMC for over 40 years. She is involved with the Adult Choir and the OLMC Ladies Society. When Mrs. Sita is not working in office, watching our security cameras, or caring for our students, she enjoys the beach, reading, biking and early morning workouts, especially spinning.

I think OLMC chose me.  I started working here as a volunteer when my youngest child started Kindergarten. I worked as a substitute teacher and helped in the office before moving into the position of Administrative Assistant a short time later.  I treat each child with much care and compassion as if they were my own. OLMC has been a wonderful foundation for my children and all of the students. The strong family atmosphere is evident in everything we do as a school family and with our Parish. We are a small school with a big heart where everyone truly cares about each other: students, staff and teachers!

Mrs. Erica Boscarino, Admissions/Advancement/SPARK*! Billing

Mrs. Boscarino was born and raised in Meriden, she attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel School and Mercy High School.  She studied Psychology and Public Health at Southern Connecticut State University.  Mrs. Boscarino has worked in marketing since 2012 and strives to introduce new families to the OLMC experience.  She believes in the importance of Catholic education and is honored to be part of continuing the legacy of OLMC in Meriden.  Mrs. Boscarino is married to a firefighter and has two beautiful girls that attend OLMC.  She loves to be with her family, go to the gym, and spend summers at the beach.

OLMC is more than just a school, it is a family that supports and welcomes.  It is a faith-filled community that works together to make sure each child that attends OLMC will leave with confidence, respect and an understanding that God will be with them each step of the way.  This is the experience that my mother received, that I received, and that my children are currently receiving.  We love OLMC!

My husband and I chose OLMC because we wanted a school that educated the “whole-child” but most importantly a faith-filled education.  During our first visit to tour the school in 2016, we met Mrs. “C” who had welcomed us with a smile and open arms. From that moment, we knew that OLMC would be the perfect fit for our family.  Everyone here is so friendly and they have made us feel right at home.

Mrs. Julius has three grown children and all of them are engaged!  She has been married for 32 years and is a life-long resident of Bristol, CT.  She and her husband, Perry, were married at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Valentine’s Day in 1986.

OLMC is very special to Mrs. Julius for many reasons.  Not only did she get married here, her husband and in-laws went to school at OLMC.  The families and children are lovely and the teachers and staff are caring and it is truly a warm and friendly atmosphere. We are family!

Mrs. Viger feels incredibly grateful that she is able share in her boys’ journey through their years at OLMC!  Spending time with family, cooking, summer time, Disney World and the beach are some of Mrs. Viger’s favorite things!

OLMC has been part of Mrs. Viger’s entire family for many years, dating back to when her grandparents arrived from Italy in the 1940s!  Most of her family has attended school here, including her mother and sisters!  Mrs. Viger attended OLMC from Grades 1-8 (1990 graduate!).  Her Baptism, Communion, Confirmation and Wedding were all held at our beautiful Church!  And so it was the only natural choice that her boys continue the tradition of attending OLMC, along with their cousins. OLMC is: family, faith, tradition and legacy!

OLMC allows for me to be the teacher that I always dreamed of being. It gives me the opportunity to explore the curriculum and teach my kiddos the best way I possibly can. OLMC also helps me to prepare these kiddos for the future through its core values, which I find personally important: faith, respect, responsibility and confidence.

This fine school closed and I began the next year as Fourth Grade Teacher at OLMC.  I accepted the Second Grade position at OLMC a few years later and have been teaching Second Grade up to this present time.

I began teaching at OLMC because a friend of mine suggested I might like the school.  I so love it here!  I love that OLMC school is a small school, I love that I know everybody’s name and that we are a family-oriented school.  OLMC has smart and educated teachers that I learn from and great families that want to help and are part of our campus each day.  I love that I can look around each day and see faces that I have known and are friendly with me for these many years.
