Dear OLMC Family:

Happy Friday! We have certainly begun to feel our Lord's presence in this crisp season of autumn.  He reminds us that His masterpiece of creation is a reflection of His teachings to all of us. In order for warmer weather, brighter sun, and new life to blossom, the leaves must wither and fall.  Similarly, in order for us to join Him in eternal life, we must live the oftentimes challenging journeys on this earth in order to fully appreciate the magnificence of His promises of eternity.

Today marks a very important day, as 100 years ago on October 13th, Our Lady of Fatima made her last appearance to 3 shepherd children.  To spread her message even further, she performed the great Miracle of the Sun, at which time the sun was blindingly bright, but everyone could look right at it without being harmed. The sun was made to dance in the sky! Our Blessed Mother was firm in teaching the children to pray the Rosary daily, and to share that very important message far and wide.

Today at 2:00, we will pray the Rosary together as a school as we do each month. How beautiful it will be this time, however, to pray on the very day that Our Lady appeared in Fatima 100 years ago. Please join us if you can. If you cannot come, please spiritually unite your intentions with us, and be very assured of our prayers for all of you!

Attached are this week's quick hits! Please note that:

****WE STILL NEED SEVERAL GRADES' TRUNKS FOR TRUNK-OR-TREAT! One grade that is missing, but not included on the list is GRADE 5!****

Next week we have 2 12:30 dismissals on Wednesday and Thursday, the 18th and 19th, for Parent/Teacher Conferences.

Please enjoy a weekend of rest and rejuvenation, and I will see you all next week!

My love and prayers,
Mrs. C
